I am a filmmaker turned to the fine arts, an artist who works with whatever material is appropriate to the concept: paint, digital image, or real things. I think about putting ideas into my work. I worked as an independent in Hollywood. I taught filmmaking at MIT. I graduated from Reed College in Philosophy. As an artist I exercise my creativity on a smaller scale; one doesn’t need a crew of fifty to make a statement. I look out for the things that beg to have an eye on them. My art ranges from small panels to full room installations. And although I use humor, I am dead serious in my undertakings.
